Description
Scrap Divers is a retro-styled arcade game set in a dystopian robot society where the player takes on the role of a contestant in an underground sport. You dodge sawblades, flamethrowers and other deadly obstacles while collecting valuable scrap in a series of infinite tunnels, until you are inevitably destroyed and rebuilt for the entertainment of the crowd. Your goal is to survive for as long as you can in the deepest tunnel to win the ultimate prize - a case full of gold scrap and your own freedom...
History
Retro Highway was developed by Gearhead Games, a two-man studio founded in 2015 when Nicolai Danielsen and Constantine Berg met on TIGForums and teamed up for a ‘quick collab’ which subsequently turned into their longest development endeavor at the time. Even though some people may tell them that they’re doing a good job, they actually have absolutely no idea what they’re doing.
